The Department of Anthropology seeks a broadly trained biological anthropologist for a tenure-track position as assistant professor beginning in September 2013. DePaul's College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences is committed to maintaining a diverse faculty. Candidates of color are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates’ teaching and research should be congruent with DePaul’s mission to educate a diverse, urban student body as well as our departmental focus on service learning and applied practice. The candidate should be prepared to teach courses in the College’s general education program, and major courses in biological anthropology. Teaching should demonstrate a commitment to innovative and experiential pedagogies. Preference will be given to candidates with experience developing and teaching lab and field-based courses. We are open to considering all specialties, but preference will be given to those who have additional experience with bio-archaeology. Initial interviews will be conducted by online video chat.
